THE HISTRIC FIRST LIVE RECORDINGS The Beatles

Parliamo di un disco ufficiale che si riferisce alla prima registrazione amatoriale dei Beatles in Germania. La storia è ormai popolare ; trattasi di un doppio album pubblicato dalla Pickwick Records nel 1979 contenente esibizioni live dei Beatles. Adrian Barber, the stage manager at the Star Club registrò su un registratore amatoriale Grundig  i tre spettacoli del 25, 28 o 29 e il 30 dicembre.  Sebbene anche i Beatles avessero pensato che la qualità del suono era troppo povera per qualsiasi cosa per essere fatto di registrazione, la Lingasong Records spese circa 100.000 $  per ricostruire il suono in un master a 16 tracce.  Quella che ascoltiamo invece e il doppio lp  pubblicato dalla Pickwick, versione leggermente modificata per consentire una maggiore risalto nelle parti vocali.
